## About

URL: https://www.muggrin.com/about

We’re a small ceramics studio that got very good at one thing: putting the face you love on the mugs you reach for every morning, four at a time. Lately, on the vase on your windowsill, too.

Lilly is a corgi with a sunglasses habit. Our first set was a birthday present for her person: four striped mugs, one very cool dog, her name painted underneath.

We kept the four from that first set. Every order is still four mugs, one in each stripe, because every family needs a way to tell whose mug is whose.

Then a customer asked for her shih tzu, headscarf and all, on something for flowers. Our mosaic maker set it in stones: about 600 hand-cut mosaic stones on a cream stoneware vase. That’s the Mosaic Vase.

Photo to kiln, four times.

Your photo, or your words: Any phone photo where we can see their eyes. No photo? Describe them for our AI instead.

In your style: Pop portrait, black and white, love letter, folk, Japanese ink, painted or the original sculpted relief. You see all four mugs in about a minute.

Your proof, or your plan: A designer checks every detail on all four mugs, or a mosaic maker maps every stone on your vase, and emails you a proof within a day.

Sculpted, painted, set in stone: Mugs: four stripes painted by hand around your sculpted pet. Vases: about 600 mosaic stones set one by one with tweezers.

Fired twice: Two firings make the mugs tough enough for the dishwasher. Then all four are wrapped in tissue, boxed and at your door 18–25 days after you order.

## Questions

What photo works best?: One face (or a few), looking roughly at the camera, eyes visible, decent light. A phone photo of your dog on the sofa is perfect. The background doesn’t matter.

Is it always a set of four?: Yes: Pinstripe, Cobalt, Breton and Tomato, with your picture on each. It keeps the family from fighting over mugs.

Does the mosaic vase hold water?: Yes. It’s glazed inside and the stones are grouted and sealed outside, so fresh flowers are fine. Wash it by hand.

Are they dishwasher and microwave safe?: Both. They’re stoneware, fired twice. Hand-washing keeps the glaze glossy for longer, but nobody’s checking.

When do I pay?: Creating a design is free. You pay at checkout, then we email a proof of all four mugs. Nothing gets made until you approve it.

How long does it take?: Every set and every vase is made to order, ready-made ones too, and arrives 18–25 days after you order. Shipping is priced at checkout, before you pay.

Do you do people, not just pets?: Yes. Upload a photo of anyone, or a few of you together. We’ve done a lot of dads.

Can I buy just one mug?: Every order is a set of four: your picture on all four striped mugs, or four different designs in a mixed ready-made set. Keep one, give three.

Do you have pieces without a photo?: Seventeen of them: mug sets and mosaic vases, from pets in headscarves to Japanese ink and folk-art leopards. Shop ready-made.

Where do you ship?: Worldwide. Shipping is priced per piece at checkout, before you pay.

Can I return it?: Each piece is made to order from your design, so it is not returnable. You can cancel or change your order within 3 hours from the link in your confirmation email, and a piece that arrives damaged is remade free when you send photos within 14 days of delivery.
